Text message terms
Last updated October 21, 2026
Grooming salons use Groomlane to send their clients text messages about appointments. These terms describe that program. They meet the requirements of the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), carrier rules for business texting, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What you will receive
- appointment confirmations and reminders (a day before and a few hours before a visit);
- a notice when your pet is ready for pickup;
- reminders when a vaccination on file is about to expire;
- if you agreed to offers, a message when it is time for your pet's next groom, sometimes with a discount.
Each message names the salon that sent it. Message frequency varies with your bookings, usually a few messages a month.
Consent
You receive texts only if you agreed, for example by ticking the box on a booking page or telling the salon. Consent is not a condition of booking or buying anything. The salon records when you gave consent.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from that salon; you will get one message confirming it. Reply START to receive them again. Reply HELP for help, or contact the salon or hello@groomlane.com.
Costs and carriers
Groomlane and the salon do not charge for these texts, but message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile number and consent are used only to send you the messages above. They are never sold or shared with anyone for their own marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
